Experience
Best Enjoyed
Scottish Classic tea is for the brave hearts among you who can handle a drink that represents the fighting spirit of the Scots. Its strong, robust, and astringent flavour packs a powerful hit for those who love their tea straight. However, it settles into a perfectly tempered peacefulness with the traditional addition of a dash of milk and optional touch of sugar (or your favourite sweetener).
Best Served
Nothing beats a teapot kept warm with a knitted tea cosy. Go for mugs you can wrap your hands around when you’re in the mood to relax and fine china when entertaining guests. Of course, this tea will also be delightful in your favourite teacups.
Pairs With
For those who love to sip and savour every flavour, the Scottish Classic is a delight on its own. However, its strength pairs perfectly with a full Scottish fry-up or simple light breakfast of traditional oatcakes. If you’re in a decadent mood, pair it with cream buns, doughnuts, griddle scones, Scotch pancakes, or oven-baked scones topped with jam and cream. Love to bake? Whip up some millionaire’s shortbread (caramel shortcake or caramel slice) or Scottish flapjacks. If you’re preparing a sumptuous afternoon tea, then tiny sandwiches, biscuits, cakes, and other treats from the local bakery will be ideal. For those who like to keep things simple, nothing beats Scotland’s classic shortbread.
Tea Time
As one of the strongest teas on Earth, this brew is perfect whenever you need a powerful pick-me-up. In Scotland, the tea kettle spends its life on the stove. But be warned – Scottish Classic tea loves all-nighters if you brew it late in the day.
